At the presentation of Euro 2024, UEFA depicted Crimea as part of Ukraine

UEFA introduced Crimea as part of Ukraine during the presentation of the logo for the European Championship-2024, media reported.

On 5 October in Berlin, UEFA unveiled the brand, logo and slogan for Euro 2024 in Germany.

In the video, the Union of European Football Associations on the map of Europe, which depicts the member countries of UEFA, presented Crimea as the territory of Ukraine.

In March 2014, Crimea became part of Russia. This happened as a result of a referendum. Ukraine, EU countries and the US refused to recognize the results of the vote, calling the reunification of the peninsula with mainland Russia “annexation”. The Russian authorities have denied the charges because the procedure was in accordance with international law.
