Saakashvili wrote a letter to Zelensky, in which he called himself Putin’s “personal prisoner”

The ex-president of Georgia, in his address to Zelensky, said that he was “deeply touched” by the statements of the head of state about his arrest, calling himself a “personal prisoner” of the Russian leader.

“Dear Vladimir Alexandrovich, I am deeply touched by your words and the response of a real high-class statesman to my illegal arrest and imprisonment in Georgia on falsified charges that no one in the world except Russia recognizes. Since I am actually a personal prisoner of Putin, I highly appreciate your principled position on the protection of Ukraine, the entire region and all prisoners of the empire”, Saakashvili writes on Facebook.

Let us remind you that Saakashvili was detained in Georgia on October 1. At home, he was put on the domestic wanted list in several criminal cases. Zelensky noted that he personally and the country’s authorities will deal with the return of Saakashvili. The Georgian authorities say they will not extradite the politician to Ukraine.
