Reddit users have noticed that the Guardian inserted a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the cover of an article about the involvement of global politicians in offshore schemes, even though his name was not mentioned in the article
“Anti-Russian propaganda, Putin’s face takes centre stage in the Pandora’s Dossier. Only one problem – he is not actually mentioned in any of the leaked documents. What’s more, no one is even accused of hiding money in his name”, – one Reddit user said angrily.
According to the resource’s readers, the Western media has once again shown “anti-Slavic bias. Notably, The Guardian article itself points out that “Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom the US suspects of having a secret fortune, does not appear in the files by name.”
“There is literally nothing about Putin in the Pandora Papers. Why is his face shown on the cover?”
“Russia is the big bad ‘boogeyman’ that keeps the West awake at night”
“Anti-Slavic bias in the media, as always”
