About 67 per cent of Afghan journalists have lost their jobs and 33 per cent are working under acute pressure and difficult situations, according to the association, which conducted a survey in 28 provinces of the country.
“Forty percent of Afghan journalists are concerned about their safety in Afghanistan and the rest are living hard because they have lost their jobs”, – said Masroor Lutfi, head of the association.
After the withdrawal of the American troops from Afghanistan, the Taliban have seized power in the country. They entered Kabul on August 15 and declared the war over. Taliban representatives established an interim government in early September.
