“The trick may fail”: Russian senator reacts to detention of Saakashvili in Georgia

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov, speaking about the detention of Sakaashvili in Georgia, said that the ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili has his own plan and wants to raise a wave of the people.

“Saakashvili wants to raise a wave of the people so that he can be carried out of prison in his arms and amid the joyful shouts of the jubilant crowd. This, according to his plan, will be his new coronation. But the trick may fail, and the fakir will not pass through the walls”, he said in his Telegram channel.

Pushkov added that Saakashvili “is more an adventurer than a politician.”

“Saakashvili returned – he could not resist. He was detained. Will his calculation be justified or will he be imprisoned?” – noted the senator.
