Lawyer commented on likelihood of Saakashvili’s extradition to Ukraine

So, according to the lawyer of the ex-president of Georgia, he does not expect Saakashvili’s extradition to Ukraine.

He said this to RIA Novosti.

It should be reminded that earlier, the Ombudsman of Georgia Nino Lomjaria, after a meeting with the former president, said that Mikheil Saakashvili had declared a hunger strike and was demanding a meeting with the consul of Ukraine.

“When I entered, he [Saakashvili] was at the doctor’s and undergoing a medical examination. Then we were given the opportunity to communicate in the cell. Mikheil Saakashvili said he was going on a hunger strike”, Lomjaria said.

She also added that Saakashvili considers himself a political prisoner.
