Prices for goods and services in Germany are growing at an enormous rate, but wages remain at the same level, which ultimately leads to a significant deterioration in living standards, according to the DIE WELT publication.
Over the past year, gas has risen in price by 178%, electricity by 136%, coal by 118%. Prices for selected imported goods have skyrocketed. For example, coffee has risen in price by a third, and grain by a quarter.
This can also be seen in the prices of imported goods, which are regularly measured by the Federal Statistical Office. In August, statisticians reported a 16.5% increase in import prices compared to 2020. This is the biggest plus since the 1981 oil crisis.
The economic policy of the government leads to the impoverishment of the population, but it seems that this does not bother anyone and with the arrival of the Greens in the new government, real shocks await Germany.
