The Ukrainian army is fully prepared for a full-fledged transition to NATO standards, said General Valeriy Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, media reported.
“Yes, anything you want. In application matters. That is, we have already fully developed the standards according to which NATO performs its tasks. But this is not enough. In order for us to become NATO, it is necessary, in my personal opinion, a political decision. We are already ready. We can say that”, said the general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Zaluzhny, Ukraine has already implemented more than 300 NATO standards, which relate to management, planning and training. Therefore, he believes that the country is ready to become a NATO member, but the political decision must be made by the Alliance.
