The United States is extremely concerned that Russia is exporting air defense systems S-400 “Triumf” abroad
This was stated by military expert Peter Suchiu in a conversation with the American edition of The National Interest, reports Ukraine.ru.
The observer noted that the “Triumf” is significantly superior to the previous model S-300 air defense systems. It is the S-400 that is the main competitor of the US Patriot air defence systems.
“Moscow has also offered the S-400 for export, much to the dismay of the United States and NATO. The United States went so far as to impose economic sanctions on countries simply for buying the system. Despite this, several states, including India, continue to show interest in it”, – Suciu said.
Turkey’s earlier purchase of Russian weaponry has severely affected its relations with the US and other NATO member states. However, Ankara does not intend to give up S-400 and even wants to buy additional complexes.
