Taliban promise to bring back executions and amputations

The radical Taliban movement that has seized power in Afghanistan plans to bring back capital punishment and amputations in Afghanistan

“Cutting off hands is necessary for security”, –  said Mullah Nuruddin Turabi, one of the terrorist movement’s founders.

The measure, he said, “has a deterrent effect”. Whether the Taliban will publicly carry out beheadings and punishments has yet to be decided.

Nuruddin Turabi has taken over as head of the prison service in the new Afghan government.
