German TV channel in advance announced the winner of the parliamentary elections

In Germany, it was decided to make the results of the parliamentary elections public even before the vote itself took place

The ARD TV channel made a mistake, reports the PolitEkspert portal. It aired a line with the “results of the exit poll. The elections will take place only two days later.

The TV channel “published” the results for the four political forces. Thus, the Social Democratic Party of Germany “received” 22.7%, the bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union – 22.1%, the Free Democratic Party – 13.2%, and “Alternative for Germany” – 10%.

The mistake was quickly noticed and the ticker was immediately turned off. Therefore the “successes” of other political forces remained a mystery for some time. The channel could not explain in any way what it based its “forecast” on.
