The Polish oil and gas company PGNiG will participate in the certification of the Nord Stream 2 operator, but without the right of veto, RIA Novosti reports.
The German regulator approved the inclusion of PGNiG in the certification process of Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but without the right of veto.
The Polish company believes that the operator Nord Stream 2 AG does not meet the requirements. And during the certification procedure for the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, they want to prove that Nord Stream 2 AG is not suitable as an independent operator.
Also in Poland, they believe that putting the pipeline into operation before receiving the final decision on certification is a violation of German and European Union legislation.
