Latvia next week will install on the border with Belarus, where there is an influx of illegal migrants, donated by Slovenia 5 km of fence with barbed wire.

“I would like to inform you that today the 3rd Latgale brigade of home guards (militia) was handed over the temporary fence provided by Slovenia. It will be installed next week with the help of army engineers. We are waiting for the latest approvals from the border guards to get started, ”he wrote on his Twitter.
Latvia, following Lithuania, faced the problem of illegal migration from the territory of Belarus.
Since August 10, attempts of 1,334 people to illegally cross the border have been suppressed, and a total of 390 people have been detained since the beginning of the year.
The Latvian government introduced a border emergency regime between August 11 and November 10 to empower border guards to expel migrants back to Belarus.
