Sudan’s government forces prevent a coup d’état

There has been an attempted coup d’état in Sudan. There were protests in the eastern part of the country for several days before the situation finally heated up

This was reported by Vesti.ua, citing the TV channel Al Arabiya. There were attempts to change the government in the country by force today, September 21. The protests were suppressed.

 

Tanks rolled onto the streets of the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. The situation in the city and the country is now under the control of government forces.

According to preliminary reports, the attempted coup was staged by a group of functionaries and supporters of the regime of former Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir.
