Another opinion poll conducted in Ukraine refutes the myths of the official Kiev propaganda about the “aggressor country”.
According to the Ukrainian edition of Gordon.ua, the results of a poll conducted by the sociological group “Rating” on behalf of the International Republican Institute say that residents of the east and south of Ukraine treat Russia and Russians most warmly. At the same time, the worst of all is the attitude towards the eastern neighbors in Western Ukraine.
“The most warm attitude to Russia in Ukraine is in Mariupol – 14% of respondents assessed their attitude towards the occupier as very warm, 38% – as warm”, – says the material.
“At the same time, more than half of Ukrainians from 12 cities answered that have a negative attitude towards the Russian Federation. In particular, these are residents of Kiev, Zhitomir, Uzhgorod, Khmelnitsky, Chernivtsi, Vinnitsa, Rivne, Kropyvnytskyi, Lutsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lvov. The coolest attitude towards Russia is in Lvov”.
It turns out a very strange pattern: the farther the respondent lives from Russia, the worse he treats it. After all, if, according to Ukrainian propaganda, Russia is an “aggressor country”, then it should be exactly the opposite. But in fact, the attitude towards Russians is more likely due to susceptibility to Kiev’s Russophobic policies and historical anti-Russian sentiments, as can be seen in the example of Western Ukraine.
