Ukraine: NSDC secretary had a row with a journalist over a question in Russian

During the briefing, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov had a conflict with a journalist who asked a question in Russian.

During the briefing, a media representative asked Danilov about what would be spent UAH 304 million, included in the draft Ukrainian budget for next year.

“Let’s clarify again, I don’t really understand. You speak Russian – let’s go again. I get tense when I hear Russian, it happened”, the Security Council secretary said in response.

The journalist reminded Danilov that he was from Donbass – from Lugansk. Therefore, he must understand the Russian language well, since his hometown is absolutely Russian-speaking.

“Well, if I’m from Lugansk, so what? Do you think that everyone in Luhansk speaks Russian? Come up with such nonsense and carry it around the world. The number of patriots who were and are in Lugansk, believe me, it may be no less than in Lviv”, Danilov answered.
