“The Great Migration of Peoples”: Pushkov assessed the situation on the US-Mexico border

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented in his Telegram channel on the influx of migrants from Mexico to the borders of the United States

According to the senator, what is happening at the US-Mexico border is just an episode of “a new great migration of peoples.” According to the newspaper The Washington Post, thousands of refugees from Haiti have piled up under a border bridge in the American state of Texas. State Governor Greg Abbott has ordered the closure of six border crossings at the border to stem the flow of migrants.

“Other episodes are the black migration from Libya to Europe; the wave of migrants from the Middle East that hit Europe in 2015; the 2 million refugees from Afghanistan that the Western world does not want and tries to keep out, but who will somehow trickle across European borders. The consequences are visible to the naked eye: the streets of Paris, Berlin, London clearly show how the ethnic composition of the population has changed. And this is only the slow beginning of one of the major processes of the 21st century”, –  Pushkov said.

Earlier, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said that the country does not intend to accept refugees from Afghanistan because it is extremely difficult to integrate Afghans into Austrian society.
