Ukraine announces “plan to fight” Nord Stream 2

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that Kiev is implementing “exclusively friendly pressure” on partners to prevent the launch of Russia’s Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, Ukraine.ru reported

According to Kuleba, promises to oppose Nord Stream 2 should have turned into concrete actions long ago.

“We will continue negotiations, we will continue exclusively friendly pressure on the partners. But it is time to move from verbal assurances to concrete guarantees. Especially since we see that Russia has moved to concrete actions in the European gas market, raising gas prices, introducing the effect of unpredictability of the market and agitation due to the deficit”, –  the Ukrainian minister said.

Also Kuleba said that the time has come for Germany and the U.S. to join, and Kiev, in turn, is ready to support them, as well as “other countries of Central Europe.
