Ukraine and NATO start joint exercises in Odessa

The press service of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has reported that a joint command post exercise with NATO has started in Odessa to counter “hybrid threats to critical infrastructure in the Black Sea region”

“The Ukraine-NATO command post exercise on protecting critical infrastructure in the Black Sea, ‘Unbreakable Resilience’, has started in Odessa. The exercise is the first joint exercise organised following a decision by NATO foreign ministers and is part of the Black Sea package in support of Ukraine”, –  the statement said.

The NSDC also noted that the exercise was “part and parcel of the April 2019 decision approved in Washington by NATO foreign ministers to support Ukraine in facing hybrid challenges in the Black Sea region.”
