The former US president used the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks to criticize his successor, Joe Biden.
This was done for how the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan was organized and the longest American campaign, launched in response to the events of 20 years ago, ended.
“It’s sad to see how the war ended last week against those who caused such damage to our country. This is the 20th year of the war, and it was supposed to be a year of victory, honor, and strength, but Joe Biden and his inept administration surrendered defeatistly”, Trump said in a commemorative video message.
He reminded Biden of the deaths of 13 American soldiers in an explosion at a Kabul airport and abandoned weapons, the cost of which the ex-president estimated at $85 billion.
