According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, trade turnover between Russia and the EU for the period from January to July this year increased by 38.4% and amounted to more than $150 billion.
Trade turnover between Russia and China grew by 29.2% in annual terms (over$ 74 billion), Belarus by 34.3% ($20.5 billion), the US 41% ($19.8 billion), Turkey 53.3 ($17.9 billion). In addition, exports from Russia to the United States increased significantly – 60.7% ($9.9 billion).
Also, from the materials of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, it follows that the trade turnover between Russia and Ukraine in January-July amounted to $ 6.2 billion, an increase of 8.8% in annual terms. Exports from Russia to Ukraine amounted to $ 3.9 billion, imports to Russia – $ 2.3 billion.
According to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Russian economy recovered from the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, in June, the country’s GDP reached pre-pandemic levels.
“By the end of August, their volume exceeded by about a third the figure for the same date last year. It is very important that not only the federal budget revenues are increasing, but also the revenues of the regions, which means that their opportunities are growing. Our economy recovered already in June, the volume of the gross domestic product reached the pre-pandemic level”, Mishustin said at a plenary session of the Moscow Financial Forum.
