Islamabad and Moscow are discussing the possibility of producing the Sputnik V vaccine in Pakistan, this may become another area for developing cooperation between the countries, Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Shafkat Ali Khan said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He noted that Pakistan had already received the first shipment of Russian vaccine supplies last week.
“But it is impossible to vaccinate the population of such a large country – more than 200 million people – only with the purchased vaccine. And here we are moving on to the second phase – production in Pakistan. Discussions on this issue are already underway,” the ambassador said.
