Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said that the foreign ministers of the G7 countries intend to hold a meeting, the main topic of which will be the situation in Afghanistan, TASS reports.
“To discuss the situation in Afghanistan, the Group of Seven will hold talks next week at the level of foreign ministers. They will also have to be attended by representatives of Russia, China and other states that have a certain influence on Afghanistan”, said the head of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
According to him, the negotiations will be held online: the organizer will be US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Motegi noted that a meeting to discuss the situation in Afghanistan could take place as early as September 8th.
