American expert Melinda Haring explained why the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States will not bring any investment to Kiev.
In her publication for the National Interest, she wrote that the guarantor was talking to the wrong people, reports Ukraine.ru. Zelensky presented his plan to people who cannot help in its implementation, even with a strong desire.
“The comedian president was deadly serious when he and his team repeatedly emphasized the need to invest in Ukraine, which was a deaf request, given that his audience was poor think tank experts and equally poor civil servants,” said Haring.
Zelensky enthusiastically proposed more than 80 projects. Their total cost is approximately US $ 277 billion. He stated that he hopes for the participation of American partners.
However, the fact that the real investors were not told about the Kiev plan suggests that the Ukrainian authorities are not too eager to translate their ideas into reality. The purpose of the visit of Zelenskiy and his delegation, it seems, was different, since he was so pleased with his trip
