According to Valeria Reshetnikova, spokeswoman for the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, the issue affecting the payment of license fees by India is still being resolved
TASS reported that during the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF-2021), Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) spokeswoman Valeria Reshetnikova told reporters that Russia intends to sign an agreement with India for the licensed production of 7.62mm AK-203 assault rifles in that country in the near future.
“We expect to reach all the agreements and sign the contract in the near future”, – Reshetnikova informed.
According to her, the issue affecting the payment of licence fees by India is still being resolved.
“Negotiations with Indian partners on the organization of production of AK-203 automatic rifles at the joint venture in Korva are currently underway. We are searching for solutions satisfactory to both sides, particularly on the issue concerning the payment of licence fees by India”, – Reshetnikova said.
