The first gas supplies via Nord Stream-2 may begin as early as this year’s heating season, that is, by the end of 2021.
This was stated by the chairman of the board of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller during a speech at the festive selector for the Day of the oil and gas industry worker, reports “Fontantka.ru”.
“Even before the end of this year, during this heating season, we can supply the first gas via the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to the European market,” he said.
The situation around the project was commented on by the deputy from the party “Alternative for Germany” Steffen Kotrets. He drew attention to the decision of the Dusseldorf court, which refuses to withdraw the SP-2 from the European Union directive. He believes that if the requirements are not canceled, they violate the rights of investors who have invested in the construction of the gas pipeline.
