According to Al Jazeera TV channel, the radical Taliban movement* is planning an attack on the Afghan Resistance Front in Panjshir province.
Panjshir is currently the only province not controlled by the Taliban, which is located in the mountainous area northeast of Kabul. In August, due to the withdrawal of the American military from Afghanistan, the Taliban* captured all the major cities of the country, including the capital Kabul.
The Taliban* explained the decision to launch a military operation against the forces of the Afghan Resistance Front in the Panjshir province by the fact that negotiations with the leader of the resistance, Ahmad Massoud, failed and did not bring any results.
Earlier, Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the anti-Taliban resistance, said that the fight would end only if the new authorities create an inclusive government and ensure respect for civil rights.
Recall that the Taliban* have already announced their intention to kill the leader of the Afghan resistance, Ahmad Massoud, who operates in Panjshir. Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan Muhammad Zohir Agbar told about this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
