During a visit to Washington, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented a “transformation plan” for the country totaling $277 billion. The project involves financing from the state budget of Ukraine, but Kiev intends to receive most of the amount from other countries, in particular from the United States.
“We have a clear vision of what Ukraine should become in five to ten years. This is an ambitious plan for the transformation of our state. More justice, more opportunities – we are building a successful and sustainable Ukraine”, Zelensky said during his working visit to the United States.
According to him, in Ukraine allegedly “anti-corruption architecture, and corrupt officials are held accountable.” The President also noted that Kiev is actively working on “adopting laws to support Ukrainian and foreign investors” and pays great attention to “reforming the judicial system.”
“The more than 80 projects included in the plan are ambitious projects totaling $277 billion. They provide for financing from the state budget of Ukraine, as well as attracting international assistance programs, loans, investments”, the President of Ukraine stressed.
As News Front previously reported, Zelenskiy is currently on a working visit to Washington. The meeting with the head of the White House is to take place on Wednesday, September 1. The parties intend to discuss involvement in the settlement of the situation in Donbass, as well as the energy security of Ukraine against the backdrop of the launch of Nord Stream-2.
