According to the local agency The Khaama Press, the Central Bank of Afghanistan ordered all banks of the republic to introduce a limit on withdrawals from personal accounts of clients in the amount of $ 200 (about 2 thousand Afghans) per week.
The Central Bank of Afghanistan issued a directive stating that the decision to introduce the limit is temporary and was made against the backdrop of financial difficulties in the country. In addition, the leadership of the Central Bank called on all banks to resume work, and also reminded the owners of the companies about the possibility of making electronic transfers.
As News Front previously reported, Afghans protested against bank closures in Kabul. Many residents of the republic were left without access to their bank accounts, and employers stopped paying salaries to their employees.
