Denis Pushilin, head of the DPR, told RIA Novosti that Ukraine will never become a full-fledged member of the EU, as he believes that the US and Europe benefit from the weak position of the Ukrainian state
Ukraine celebrated Independence Day on August 24. It was the 30th anniversary of the country’s sovereignty. The DPR has repeatedly stated about the disastrous policy of Kiev and disadvantageous terms of various deals with Europe.
“A quasi-state formation, a pro-Western appendage, which will never become a full member of the EU, nor an independent state capable of deciding its own destiny. This is because neither the U.S. nor Europe needs an independent Ukraine. It is precisely this situation that is to their advantage: a weak, kneeling country, bordering Russia, ready for anything. And Ukraine is only with this function now, alas, and copes with it”, – Pushilin said.
