State Duma reacted to plans to create an anti-Russian fund in Ukraine

Aleksey Chepa, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented on the West’s plans to create a fund to counter Russia’s influence in Ukraine.

According to NEWS.ru, the deputy did not rule out that the activities of this fund will be financed by the intelligence services of Western countries and carry out their anti-Russian functions. He stressed that Moscow will oppose this and will call on the entire public to prevent more conflicts around the Russian borders.

“The creation of such a fund is an attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of Russia, an attempt by another anti-Russian center that will support the nationalist, pro-fascist, Nazi movements flourishing in Ukraine,” Chepa said.

Earlier, British Deputy Foreign Minister Wendy Morton on the page of the country’s embassy in Kiev on Facebook announced the plans of the UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland and Sweden to create a fund to counter the influence of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. It will start working by December, within three years it is planned to raise $50 million. It is announced that the funds will be sent to those affected by the conflict in the south-east of Ukraine.
