The session of the Armenian parliament resumed on Wednesday after a fight between opposition and pro-government deputies, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
The scuffle began during a speech by Hayk Sargsyan, MP from the ruling Civil Contract faction, who criticized the work of the former Armenian defense ministers. After a verbal skirmish, ex-defense minister, head of the “Armenia” faction Seyran Ohanyan threw a plastic bottle at the deputy, Sargsyan threw a bottle in response. Pro-government parliamentarians ran up to their opposition colleagues to sort things out. Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan summoned the security service to the meeting room and announced a break.
After the resumption of the meeting, Sargsyan again came to the rostrum and continued his speech.
