Zelensky and Duda agree to fight Nord Stream-2 together

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda and proposed to fight it together.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian guarantor. In the statement, Nord Stream-2 is viewed as nothing more than an element of threat that must be resisted. In Warsaw, with its Russophobic attitudes, Zelenskiy hopes to find an ally.

We regard Nord Stream-2 primarily as a security threat. Therefore, we must work together to prevent its launch. This is in the interests of the energy security of Europe as a whole, he said.

In addition, Zelensky and Duda also discussed their countries’ cooperation in the field of energy. They talked about projects to diversify energy supplies.

Against the background of the celebration of Independence Day and other events on this occasion, Zelensky made many high-profile promises. Thus, at the opening of the Crimean Platform summit, he once again announced that he would “return” Crimea to Ukraine. Moreover, he said that August 23, 2021 is the day of the beginning of the “de-occupation” of the peninsula.
