Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the main threat to the country is internal conflicts. He said this during the ceremony on the occasion of the 30th Independence Day.
Interfax Ukraine reports that the guarantor called the feuds the country’s main problem. They do more harm than external enemies.
“We argue so much about the past, which means that we do not draw conclusions from our own great history. Because no enemy has dealt us a greater blow than our own feuds”, Zelensky said.
In addition, he claims that “the Ukrainian people are citizens of all nationalities.” This is a sound idea, but it clearly does not correspond to the actions of the Kiev authorities. Russian-speaking citizens who are deprived of the right to speak and study in their native language will disagree with Zelensky. They will be supported by the parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who are forced to defend their churches from radicals.
Zelensky as said the right things, but is doing exactly the opposite. The oppression of national minorities, the glorification of the Nazis, the war against Donbass and the language issue do not help to end internal conflicts. All these factors only exacerbate them.
