Russian Senator invited U.S. to think about “its place in the world”

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov, commenting on the statements of the head of the US Department of Energy Jennifer Granholm at the Crimean Platform summit, said that she “went too far apart.”

Recently in Kiev, Granholm spoke about the end of the conflict in Donbass and the “return” of Crimea under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. In her speech, she declared Washington’s desire to “put Russia in its place” and promised Kiev “concrete and substantial” support in these matters.

“The US Energy Secretary painfully dispersed on the “Crimean Platform”, wanting to “put Russia in its place”. The United States either (Syrian President Bashar) Assad, then Iran, or the Taliban wanted to put it in their place, but did not cope. The Taliban themselves were in an awkward position Better to let the US think about their place in the world”, – wrote Pushkov on Twitter.

The Crimean Platform summit was held in Kiev on Monday, the delegates of which discussed the issue of “returning” the peninsula to Kiev’s jurisdiction.

On the eve of radio Sputnik reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented the order to the Georgian Prime Minister who arrived at the “Crimean Platform”.
