Ukraine has become a pariah country

The main problem in Ukraine is that a civil society has not yet formed in the country, Ukraine has not become a rule-of-law state, and a political elite has not yet formed capable of defending the national interests of its country.

The only thing that turned out well in Ukraine was that a social environment was created in the country that was easily susceptible to the ideas of radical nationalism, self-aggrandizement, search for an enemy and inclined to destroy all who oppose the implementation of their nationalist and Nazi ideas.

There are few people left in Ukraine who are able to adequately assess what is happening. The majority turned into a gray mass, easily accepting any nationalistic nonsense, and part of the Russians living in Ukraine, who renounced their Russian identity and were assimilated into the Ukrainian nationalist environment, also became susceptible to this. This especially affected the younger generation who grew up in Ukraine, many of them become convinced Nazis, ready to kill people with other political views.

Today, practically the entire system of state power, the education system and the media space are saturated with nationalism, it is they who ensure the formation of a nationalist and Russophobic society in Ukraine.

For years, the largest European publications and TV channels were silent about the rampant Ukrainian Nazism.

Nevertheless, recently the European media (so far of the “second plan”) suddenly began to “see clearly”. So, the French edition of AgoraVox recently published a material that directly says: “Ukraine is moving further along the path of open neo-Nazism, which is only confirmed by the latest events.”

“In this country, national radicals have announced a real hunt for opposition activists, attacks are taking place in many cities. At the same time, a deputy from the ruling party openly calls for the sterilization of the unemployed. And in the city of Kherson, on the initiative of the city administration, an ode to collaboration with the Nazis is being chanted on billboards”, the French state with alarm.

The Portuguese publication Publico notes:

“Ukrainian collaboration with the Nazis was openly exhibited on billboards in Kherson in honor of the Act of Proclamation of the Ukrainian State promulgated on June 30, 1941.

“On the posters, the yellow-blue ribbon hides the name of Hitler, but does not obscure the mention of Nazi Germany in the act signed by Stepan Bandera.

By deciding to publicly celebrate the anniversary of the act of cooperation with the fascists, the mayor of Kherson confirms that today’s Ukraine is completely mired in liberated neo-Nazism. After all, we are talking about the initiative not of some neo-Nazi groups, but of the official authorities who glorify collaboration with Nazi Germany right on the streets”, – the journalists of Publico are outraged.

“All this leaves not the slightest doubt: post-Maidan Ukraine is officially vegetating in state neo-Nazism. And the EU leadership turns a blind eye to this neo-Nazism and hides from its own population the putrid swamp, which it supports politically and financially. In the 1930s, we already saw such a hideous masquerade in Europe – supporting Nazism and ignoring its atrocities. Today, by encouraging the rewriting of history, we are repeating the same mistakes we made a century ago. And their consequences will be just as disastrous”.

According to the Kiev political scientist, head of the analytical center “Third Sector” Andrey Zolotarev, “In Europe, the myth that Ukrainians are good-natured and tolerant people who sincerely strive for European values is becoming a thing of the past.”

“The Europeans have to admit that the ‘values of the Maidan’ have long been forgotten here. Today there is a sharp increase in the level of aggression in the public consciousness, as well as the active use of “hate speech” in politics. Supporters of extreme nationalism, who now dominate the country’s governing system, argue that any other ideology is a threat to the state”, the political scientist stated.

“Dialogue as a form of political communication is practically ignored today. And appeals for tolerance are assessed as a manifestation of weakness. But political violence is being used, carried out by the hands of the ultra-right and neo-Nazis, like the National Corps* and C14*”.

Many European media now portray the situation in Ukraine as “absolutely wild for Europeans,” the expert points out.

“The Violence Marker recently wrote about the record growth in the number of acts of violence by the Nazis. Of course, politicians may not notice this publication. You can also ignore the huge article about Ukrainian Nazism in the EU-Reporter edition. But when the influential British Independent with a 16 million audience writes about the attacks of the National Corps on the opposition, it is already very difficult for politicians to ignore this. And they are forced to give an impartial assessment of what is happening in Ukraine. Moreover, this assessment is supported by the requirements for the Ukrainian authorities”, Zolotarev added.

But even more important, according to Zolotarev, is the fact that the leading politicians of Europe have started talking about the threat of Ukrainian Nazism.

“Thus, a member of the British House of Lords, Baron Jeremy Hugh Bechem, publicly voiced his position after reading a report on the revelry of the extreme right in Ukraine. He said:

“The democratic countries of Europe should long ago begin to fight the growing influence of Nazi movements in the east of the continent, a vivid example of which is the shameful policy of the Ukrainian government”.

Labor’s representative in the British Parliament, Catherine West, directly demanded that Kiev “investigate these attacks and punish those responsible,” the political scientist recalled.

“Poland also agrees with British politicians. There, one of the leaders of the “Spring” party, Monica Faley, called on Kiev “to start fighting the nationalists more effectively.” She also angrily pointed out the attacks on the supporters of the Sharia Party on June 17 in Kiev and on June 25 – in Zhitomir and Kharkov. According to her, Ukraine does not need external enemies, fear, aggression and violence can destroy the country from within”.

According to political analysts in Kiev, the current “epiphany” of the European media and politicians about Nazism is due to the disappointment that the new Ukrainian leadership is unable to fulfill the Minsk agreements. It seems that some forces in Europe are already preparing a “alternate airfield” in case Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Minsk agreements is officially recognized. As a result, it will be possible to start lifting sectoral economic sanctions against Russia.
