Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has no intention of resigning, amid criticism of his agency over the situation in Afghanistan
US military spokesman John Kirby said this at a briefing on Saturday.
“No”, – Kirby said succinctly when asked about Austin’s possible plans to leave his post.
According to RIA Novosti, the current US administration has come under harsh criticism domestically over the fact that Taliban fighters managed to seize control of Afghanistan with ease. Subsequently, the criticism spread to the operation to evacuate American citizens from Kabul, as well as Afghans who had cooperated with the United States.
