Russian foreign minister talks of Moscow’s involvement in Afghanistan refugee problem

Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, has said that Russia will be guided by its obligations under international humanitarian law in the problem of refugees from Afghanistan

This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a statement by the Russian foreign minister.

“We are guided solely by our international obligations under international humanitarian law”, –  the diplomat said when asked by journalists about Russia’s readiness to rescue migrants.

News Front earlier reported that the Taliban had begun compiling lists of those who supported the ousted government. Journalists and those who held key positions in the security forces were targeted.
