Several officials of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have drawn attention to themselves by receiving inappropriate funds. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Department of Internal Audit of the department conducted an inspection and found violations that were committed by the Financial Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The analysis revealed the amount – 500 thousand hryvnia.
“A number of officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the commander of one of the commands, in violation of the existing instructions and the Charter of the Internal Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported to the financial authorities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inaccurate information about their lack of official or other housing in order to illegally obtain monetary compensation”, – the message says.
One official was paid 48 thousand hryvnias, the other, a colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was given monetary “aid” upon dismissal – 234 thousand hryvnias. The perpetrators of the violation were brought to disciplinary responsibility. They got off with reprimands and incomplete official correspondence.
