In the hands of Russia and China: Trump spoke about the fate of abandoned Black Hawk helicopters in Afghanistan

American Black Hawk attack helicopters, which have been handed over to the Afghan government army, could fall into the hands of Russia or China, former US President Donald Trump said.

“Billions, billions of dollars. The newest Black Hawk helicopters, which will now be studied by Russia, and China, and anyone else”, said the former head of the White House in an interview with Fox News.

In his opinion, the United States should have destroyed all American military equipment before leaving Afghanistan. Trump noted that all of Washington’s weapons have now passed into the hands of Taliban fighters*.

Earlier, the current American leader Joe Biden said that the United States allegedly completed its mission in Afghanistan, as it managed to eliminate the leader of the al-Qaeda terrorist group* Osama bin Laden. However, after that, the military contingent of Washington remained in the republic for another ten years.

Biden separately emphasized that it was his predecessor Donald Trump who concluded the deal with the Taliban * on the withdrawal of troops. The American military was supposed to leave the territory of Afghanistan by May 1, 2021: at that time, their number in the country was more than 2.5 thousand soldiers.

After the withdrawal of the American military contingent from Afghanistan, the Taliban began to seize successively the centers of the provinces. At the end of last week, it became known about the seizure of Kabul, after which the President of the Republic, Ashraf Ghani, left the country to avoid further bloodshed.

It is noteworthy that the Americans evacuated their servicemen, leaving foreign contractors to be torn apart by the Taliban*: among them were Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Romanians and Georgians. In addition, officials of the US Embassy in Kabul burned the passports of some Afghan citizens during the destruction of important documents, thereby making it impossible for them to evacuate.
