Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry on Monday denied reports that Ghani had visited the republic last weekend
According to Interfax, the Tajik service of Radio Liberty (recognised in Russia as a foreign agent) – Radio Ozodi, citing sources close to the Tajik authorities, reported that President Ashraf Ghani, who left Afghanistan last Sunday, flew to Oman after a short stay in Dushanbe.
“The aviation authorities of Tajikistan have agreed with the leadership of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran to fly Ashraf Ghani’s plane through the territories of these countries”, – the sources of this media state.
In addition, according to Radio Ozodi, Rohila Dustum, daughter of Marshal Abdurashid Dustum, chairman of the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan, wrote on Facebook the day before that Ghani’s plane circled over Dushanbe for some time, then took a course towards Oman.
