The British Ministry of Defence has said that the country has no intention of returning to Afghanistan. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom, Ben Wallace, on Sky News TV channel on Monday
In response to a related question, the head of the department said “it is not in their plans to go back”.
The seizure of power in Afghanistan by militants of the radical Taliban will lead to a significant influx of migrants to other countries, Wallace said.
“I believe we will see a significant flow of migrants [from Afghanistan] around the world”, – he said, noting that Turkey, Pakistan and India had already announced an influx of Afghan refugees.
