Law enforcers did not allow nationalists to enter the office of the President of Ukraine in Kiev, since the protesters refused to pass the check for prohibited items, the police were forced to use coercive measures, said the head of the communications department of the country’s Interior Ministry, Artem Shevchenko.
Earlier, a scuffle between nationalists, in particular, representatives of the National Corps political party (the organization was created on the basis of the Azov National Battalion, against whose members a criminal case was initiated in Russia), and the police took place at the office of the President of Ukraine in Kiev, the protesters tried to break through to the office , the protesters threw explosives at law enforcement officers and sprayed gas, in addition, they lit tires and threw paving stones. At the moment, the situation has stabilized.
“The protesters on Bankova did not want to pass a check for the content of dangerous items before being admitted to the OPU (office of the President of Ukraine – ed.) and provoked clashes with the law enforcement forces.
