According to economic expert Oleksiy Zubets, Ukrainian resources are gradually running out, and Kiev has absolutely nothing to fill the budget with.
“They live in debt. This is the same that we had in 1996-1997. It ended in the 1998 crisis. An economic crisis that will cast doubt on the future of Ukraine is possible. This is precisely the point, not the “Russian threat.” And everyone understands this very well”, the expert said in an interview with Ukraina.ru.
According to him, Ukraine has neither the technologies, nor the resources, nor the intellectual capabilities to take part in the new energy transition. In addition, Zubets noted that European countries can force Kiev to buy “environmentally friendly” equipment.
“Russia can somehow defend its interests within the framework of this process due to the availability of resources, military strength and political will, but Ukraine has none of this”, the expert summed up.
