According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the number of deaths from coronavirus infection has increased significantly in the country.
“During the day, 1,263 new confirmed cases of coronavirus were recorded. Of these, 73 children and 52 health workers were infected”, the Ministry of Health said.
In addition, the number of deaths from the coronavirus has increased. The day before, the number of deaths from COVID-19 was 24 cases, and over the past day it became known about 44 deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection.
According to experts, the situation with the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine remains extremely depressing. Chairman of the Commission on Biosafety and Biological Protection under the NSDC, Academician Serhiy Komissarenko said earlier that Kiev needs to vaccinate about 100 thousand Ukrainians every day to defeat COVID-19.
“All countries of the world are trying to make every effort to vaccinate their population. And it is very strange that our medicine does not plan this. We need to vaccinate 30 million people by the end of the year, we need to convince people that the vaccine is the only way to develop herd immunity, that this is the only way to fight infection, preserve health and life. To do this, we have to immunize 100,000 people every day”, he said.
