According to CNN, the intelligence agencies have until the end of August to come to a common conclusion
According to TASS, CNN on Wednesday quoted its sources as saying that US intelligence agencies, after more than two months of investigating the causes of the coronavirus, are still unable to come to a unified position on the issue.
“Intelligence agencies have already formed a preliminary version of the report, which is currently being vetted, but officials have not been able to decide in their research whether the coronavirus was developed in a laboratory or formed naturally. A source familiar with the investigation noted that there was “nothing out of the ordinary in the current version of the report”, – according to the report.
Intelligence agencies have until the end of August to change this, the broadcaster noted. US President Joe Biden said in late May that the US intelligence community did not have enough information to say with certainty how the spread of the new coronavirus began: after human contact with an infected animal or because of a possible incident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology laboratory. The US leader has instructed intelligence agencies to redouble their efforts to examine all available data and prepare a new report for him in 90 days.
