Germany says risks of non-completion of Nord Stream 2 reduced after Biden and Merkel deal

Germany’s Uniper, however, said it continues to operate under the applicable sanctions laws

According to Uniper in a report that the company said the risks of delaying or not completing the construction of Nord Stream 2 have decreased following a deal on the project between the US and Germany.

“On July 21, the US and Germany reached an agreement on “Nord Stream 2″, Ukraine and climate protection. Based on this, the likelihood of further project delays or even non-completion of the pipeline is reduced”, –  Uniper said in the documents.

Uniper continues to work in line with applicable sanctions laws and the project operator, Nord Stream 2 AG, “continues to confirm that it is working towards the completion of the project”.
