Washington State introduces compulsory vaccinations for government officials and physicians

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee has announced the introduction of mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for most government officials and health workers, according to a release posted on the governor’s website.

“Gov. Jay Inslee issued a statement that most state executives, local contractors and volunteers, along with public and private sector health workers, including caregivers for the elderly, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. October 18”, – according to the release.

According to the governor’s decree, the relevant categories of citizens must receive a second vaccination against coronavirus no later than October 4 in order to be “fully vaccinated” by October 18.

As noted, Washington state has seen a strong increase in hospital admissions in all counties due to the spread of the delta coronavirus strain.
