Russian and Chinese fighters hold joint training session ahead of exercise

According to TASS, crews of Russian Su-30SM generation 4++ fighters have carried out joint training with their Chinese counterparts ahead of the SIBU/Interaction-2021 exercise.

“Crews of 4++ Su-30SM multirole fighters of the Eastern Military District from the Russian military contingent took part in a joint flight training exercise with crews of fighters of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China in preparation for the SIBU/Interaction-2021 exercise”,  – the Eastern Military District (EMA) press service said in a statement.

The Russian fighters took off in pairs and carried out a number of combat training tasks.

“In particular, the crews carried out aerial strikes on conditional ground targets with fragmentation-fuzed aerial bombs, as well as timely evasion of the “enemy’s” air defenses”, –  the Eastern Military District of the Russian Federation noted.

Officers of the control group monitored the operations at Yinchuan airfield. All tasks were carried out by the Russian pilots together with the crews of Chinese fighters “Jian-11” and “Jian-7”, which operated as part of the air squadron.
