Members of the radical Taliban* entered the city of Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province, which is located in southwestern Afghanistan near the border with Iran.
This was announced by the Tolo News TV channel on its Twitter account. The journalists published a photo showing armed criminals robbing public property. A road passes through this settlement, which leads to the city of Zabol in the Iranian province of Sistan.
Earlier it became known that the Taliban captured the city of Shiberang. It is the administrative center of the northern province of Jowzjan. The army is fighting terrorists inside the settlement and on its outskirts.
The long-term conflict with the Taliban escalated amid the withdrawal of American troops from the country. The militants took control of a significant part of the country.
